It is our belief that the wearing of school uniform by all students
promotes a positive image of the school and creates a feeling of pride in the school. Parents are asked not to send children to school wearing expensive outdoor coats.
All items of clothing should be clearly marked with the owner’s
name.
The uniform is as follows:

Jewellery
You are only allowed to wear one or a pair of small, plain gold or silver ear studs and a watch. Any other jewellery will be confiscated and kept in the school safe until the end of the school week. Persistent wearing of jewellery will result in the items being kept in the safe until the end of the current half term. Facial piercings (including tongue) are not allowed. Jewellery must not be worn in PE lessons. During PE lessons the PE staff will collect and save plain gold or silver ear studs, watches and purses/wallets only. They will not be responsible for the loss of any other items such as mobile phones, Ipods, MP3 players or any other jewellery.
Coats
Only coats which are either the school's own design or plain, dark and waterproof are acceptable. Brightly coloured coats or jackets or 'hoodies' are not acceptable and must not be worn anywhere on the school site during the day. If brightly coloured coats or jackets or 'hoodies' are worn they will be confiscated and returned at the end of the day on the first occasion. If they are worn again, they will be confiscated until the end of the week.
Make Up
Key Stage 3 students are not allowed to wear any make up.
Key Stage 4 students may wear a minimum of make up. Anyone
wearing too much make up will have to remove it.
Hair
It is not acceptable for students to come to school with colours in their hair such as red, blue, green, pink, purple etc. Students will be sent home to wash their hair if they arrive with coloured hair (including streaks/stripes).
